It is with a heavy heart that we write this urgent news: our dear friend and colleague Phil Kreuter has suffered a massive stroke. He is currently under excellent care, surrounded by his loved ones, but he has been in a coma for over two weeks and his prognosis is very uncertain. We have set up a website at phil.weareastepahead.com, and we will post information about his condition as we know more.
As with any major trauma, the financial challenges are significant. We ask that all of you who have been touched by Phil, either as a friend, colleague or patient, join us in contributing to a new fund that will allow his daughters to focus on his care in this difficult time. In addition to the kinds of unreimbursed medical costs that are inevitable, there are immediate needs around meeting the regular expenses of life.
